The problem with Politics is that the politicians are able to promote their excellent policies and intentions while on the campaign trail BUT as soon as they are in power they have to fall in line with party political objectives which focus,  first and foremost, on the objective of staying in power (getting re-elected) no matter what the cost to the country (or their state or electorate) as long as they “get the vote”. The welfare of the country (never mind the rest of the world ) is, very much, a secondary concern.

The Law is a PROBLEM because it is unfortunately tabled in parliament as a protection of some persons or thing which is then placed in the hands of some person who is legally qualified to turn this into a set of rules which become more and more complicated by trying to cater for any and all similarly related rules (or laws). This then provides the lawyers with a wonderful opportunity for interpretation of the semantics for this new law.
